Happy Birthday Jesus!

A couple of days ago I was shopping and getting everything done before Christmas and you all know I'm sure what it's like during the Holidays to shop. While I was shopping I saw a poor little girl who was looking at these Christmas shoes, admiring them. She asked her mother but her mother told her they cant afford them. I felt so bad having gifts for other people and just seeing her with a sad look on her face. I walked away but I came back and a manager was talking to them about the shoes and he gave them to her for half off. All these little things show a little act of kindness. The little girl had the happiest look on her face. That is what you should be like during the Christmas season, being kind and helpful to one another. It's also Jesus' birthday. I love celebrating his birthday because it's one of the best birthdays of all time! I just love Christmas. I think one of the hardest things around the holidays is if you lost a loved one..Just this last week I lost my great grandmother who was 93 years of age. She will be missed. So all of you who have lost a loved one recently or have for a long time I will pray that you have a wonderful Christmas with the family you have. This is a time to show really how you feel. And to tell your loved ones you love them. Jesus wouldn't want anything more then that.

So I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! God Bless!

Never forget. . . .

Yesterday 9/11 10 years ago something horrifying happened. I remember I was asleep when It was happening and my dad woke me up with tears in his eyes, and I ran over to the TV and saw the most frightning thing I have ever seen in my life...That was not a happy day. The one thing I remember was seeing a little something flying in the air, and I looked even closer to what that little something was and it was a man. Over 2 thousand people died that day. Yesterday I went to mass and I saw a women crying outside the church and she was telling her grandson about his Uncle and how he was killed in 9/11. Every single day for the past 10 years these families have been in pain. All of us will never ever will forget that day. I remember about a year before 9/11 happened I went to New York and I saw the twin towers before it collapsed. While the twin towers were colapsing, One of the Fireman was scared because his wife was working in the twin towers and he thought she might have been dead, but he didn't lose hope so he went back home to see if she went back to the house and she wasn't there. The fireman's heart just dropped but he got a phone call from his father and found out from him that she was at his firehouse. He ran over there without a car and found his wife in tears thinking she lost her husband. What a miracle! God gave them another chance at life. So please keep in your prayers for the families and hope that all the 2 thousand people went to the kingdom of heaven.

Mr. and Mrs. Crane.

For the past 9 years I have known Rita Kaehler (Now Rita Crane) when she was a teenager. Her family and my family have been going to the same parish for the past 9 years. I remember when all of our sisters would get together and have sleepovers and have so much fun! Then about 4 years later The Crane Family came into our parish, When I first met Mrs. Crane, she came up to me and introduced herself and gave me a huge hug.. Then I finally met all of her 5 children...Then in 2007 The Kaehler Family and The Crane went to the Ordinations in Nebraska for our pastor. One night while they were there they saw Spider Man 3. When they went into the movie theater, Rita saw an seat empty right next to Damien...My sister Shannon is a witness to this and she said that she saw them holding hands during the movie. So that's when it all started. For the past 3 years they have been courting...notice that I say Courting because not a lot of couples do that anymore. Then February 14th 2010 (Valentines day) Damien proposed to Rita. I knew from the beginning they were going to get married. So for the past 6 months they're has been lots of planning. Then the day finally came! On July 24th they received the sacrament of Marriage. I'm so blessed to know Rita and Damien because they have made such a great example of True love. They never kissed while they were courting or engaged. Their first kiss ever was on their wedding day.

You've got a Friend in me..

When I was little . My dad brought home the movie ''Toy Story'' I was so excited to watch it. My whole family watched it together. After that I was singing all the songs and quotes in the movie. I thought I was so cool knowing all the lines from the movie. Then my brother and I got to have a woody and a buzz. I never forgot that day. They always brought comfort to me when I was sad. When I would look at them, they would always have a smile on their face to cheer you up. I would play with them while I would watch the movie. They were my buddies. Then the second movie came out on VHS. Again I got so excited. And just yesterday they came out with the last Toy Story movie. I was bummed that it was the last one but it was a good ending to the movie. I know I was not the only one who was tearing up in that theater. While I was watching the movie, I did the same thing Andy did to his toys. One summer my brother and I were cleaning our room and packed up all our toys into the attic. It was a sad day for me but you have to let go. Buzz and Woody will always be my buds. They always brought me joy, once in awhile I find Woody and Buzz and just look at them! Theres a quote in one of the songs from the movies ''You've got a friend in me'' Theres a part that says ''Our Friendship will never die'' That is so true. Most of my friends and I still watch Toy story and are teenagers. So thank you Buzz and Woody for being there for all of us when we needed you.

Friends

“A friend is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.”

You can trust them, you can count on them, you can love them, you can understand them...They are called Friends. They are amazing, I don't think anyone in this world would live without friends. With me I don't just have a best friend, because people always say you can only have one best friend. And I can't really say that because all my friends are my best friends. It's just way to hard to choose. God is so good, I'm so blessed to have friends who are trustworthy, loving, caring, funny, generous, etc. Next time you are hanging with your friends, just take a minute and really be thankful for what you have because God is so good that way.

Mother's Day!

This weekend I have been hangin' out with my mom side of the family. It was really fun. I got to babysit my adorable baby cousin named Charlie. He is so adorable, I also got to spend time with my cousins who I have not seen forever1 What I like about Mothers Day is that you really get to Thank your mom, Grandma and Aunts for all they have done for you and their own children. I'm so blessed to have such a great family, families always have hard times but there are also times where you have so much fun. Today while I was holding my cousin, I was watching my grandma, my two aunts and my mom have some time together opening up some presents and having lots of laughs. I thought that was really special. : )
Well lets say a prayer for all the mom's in the world. And take a moment to just give your mom a hug or say ''I love you'' Because they really appreciate that.

Holy Week

We are coming to an end of Lent, for Christians its a sad week. We are sad because Jesus was crucified on Good Friday. Jesus died for our sins. I was just watching on YouTube parts of the movie ''The Passion of the Christ'' Because I could not find the DVD. And right now I'm crying my head off...I was reading the comments below the screen while I was watching and I had to pause it..I could not believe what I was reading about that certain scene I was watching. Someone said that they thought it was ''funny'' Do you really think a christian would ignore that??? I think not. Well I gave that person a taking to. As adult Christians we have to stand up for our religion and our faith. You know..as humans we are now, if someone says something rude, we get upset and are feelings get hurt and might get angry. Well it's almost the same thing with Jesus. But with Jesus he does give them cancer or make them sick because they said something rude about him..no. It hurts him but he always will love that person NO matter what. Man I love Jesus so much! You know how people who are really sweet to you? And you say ''Wow that person really has a heart'' Well to me and so many other people I'm 100% sure, he has WAY more then that. I can't even explain how much he is.
Do you know about how Jesus died for our sins? Well all I can say is to watch ''The Passion of the Christ'' I can tell you about it, but not in detail because I think I would cry. But Jesus was a Jew and he was standing up for himself and basically the devil wanted to kill him. So those evil people killed him VERY slowly and crucified him to the cross. And you know who saw him die the most..His mother Mary, she had to go through seeing her son die. Can you imagine that? Well anyways, This week if you can watch it or at least think about God and thank him for all the blessings you have in your life. May God bless you and have a good Holy week!

God Bless!

Lent

Well a couple of weeks ago we started Lent. If you do not know what Lent is..well then I will tell you. Lent if for Catholics first of all. It's where we give up at least 1 or 2 or 3 things that we are attached to, like watching TV. And every Friday we do not eat meat. And you have to only eat at least 1 snack, 1 full meal and 1 small snack. It's always good to not eat meat for 40 days but sometimes you need a little meat once in a while. But the point of really what Lent is, is when Jesus Christ was crucified. He died for our sins, so to make this more clear for you to understand is that we do something for him, since he did something for us. So we give up something that we really like.
During Lent we try to go to Daily mass or pray the rosary at least once a day. These kinds of things you can even do when it's not even lent. It's just as good too. One thing about eating the meat on Fridays, children do not count for the fasting. Also good to go to Confession before Easter. That is some facts about Lent and fasting.
